JEFFERSON MIDDLE SCHOOL student Marti
Weisberg, was a finalist in Pittsburgh Public
Theater’s Shakespeare Monologue and Scene
contest. Weisberg’s performance as Lucencia
in The Comedy of Errors earned her a spot in
the lower division monologue category. More
than 700 students entered the contest. Each
of the students was offered a workshop by
an actor from the Pittsburgh Public Theatre.
Other Mt. Lebanon students who received
honorable mentions in the contest, and their
performances, were Foster Elementary stu-
dent Theodore Alexander, Orsino from Twelfth
Night ; Rohan Parekh, Howe Elementary, Shy-
lock in The Merchant of Venice ; Mellon Middle
School students Colin Bozick, Brutus in Julius
Caesar ; Even Dyrud, Orlando, As You Like It ;
Freyja Dyrud, Julia, Two Gentlemen of Verona ;
and high school students Piper Bozick, Poli-
na, The Winter's Tale ; Brynn Murawski, Be-
atrice, As You Like It and Megan Greenfield,
Dionysa, Pericles .
