The Bethel Park Animal Clinic opened in 2011 with a
mission of providing quality medicine with care and
compassion. “It seemed so obvious to me,” stated Dr.
Marina Siegert, the owner and founder, “that owners
deserve to get both high quality medical and surgical
care along with doctors and staff who will treat them
with kindness and respect.”
Dr. Siegert is a graduate of the University of California,
Davis and comes from a background of one of those
large impersonable hospitals where she practiced in Los
Angeles for 10 years. “I saw a lot, learned a lot, and did
a lot, but I know the client experience suffered. I knew
I could take the same high quality from my previous
practice and deliver it with more compassion.” Family
brought her to the Pittsburgh area in 2008. Her husband,
Kris, grew up in Mt. Lebanon and is a lieutenant for the
Mt. Lebanon Fire Department. Her mother-in-law, Sue,
lives in the Foster school area and helps with the raising
of their two children, who attend Lincoln Elementary.
Dr. Siegert isn’t the only Mt. Lebanon resident. Dr.
Kristi Fertal grew up in the Jefferson school area and
recently bought a house off Washington Road. The
staff is rounded out with three additional doctors: Dr.
Lauren Smith, Dr. Erin Burns, and most recently Dr. Amy
Crain, who is also certified in acupuncture. Dr. Heather
Goldstein, who has special training in exotics, especially
pocket pets, will be joining the practice in the fall.
The Bethel Park Animal Clinic recently moved into a new
location, expanding into a brand new 7,000-square-
foot building. They will be celebrating their move with
an open house on Saturday, June 15, from 2 to 5 p . m .
They will have food, activities for children, and lots of
information for owners on pet care.

as well as preventative medicine. They also provide

“Patient care is our top priority but we know that comes
from a good partnership with the owners who are
bringing their patients to us. We talk daily about how we
can make a positive impact on those around us. Plus, it is
my own personal mission to use my position to develop
and help my staff reach their full potential.”
